Two movies.
Sep. 7th, 2004 08:59 pmWith all its good intentions, Padam Onnu Oru Vilaapam falls short somewhere. It could have been a better movie. It was decidedly made along the small-movie genre, but suffers from a script which, well, misses the very medium it was done for. Director T V Chandran could have only improved from the well-written, well-made Danny, but, alas :(
Akale is a well-made Shyamaprasad film. We shamelessly watched the pirated VCD edition - no other way, as we're in Bangalore, and since its unlikely that this would make into the movies here even after the seven-week no-new-release ban on non-Kannada films.
Thanks to
terrapin_flyer, for bravely standing up to the sneering gang of mainstream movie fan friends, and for paying the VCD rents :)
