Fitzcarraldo is interesting, but lengthy. And I felt rather outraged - you fell down trees in Amazon jungles, ravage a mountain there, and drag a ship over it, just to make a goddamn movie?
Ivan's Childhood is a black and white classic that will continue to defy time.

Moment of Innocence kept forcing me to sleep every five minutes. Probably Mohsen Makhmalbaf really didn't have anything to tell me.
Dogsville is the pick of the lot. It is powerful, unconventional, and quite a rebellion. Chaosmag carries a study of the movie.

Black is very prettily done, and has some very good performances, but didn't touch me. Well, maybe I'm a rock like my sister alleges. I noticed at least two pairs of swollen eyes after the movie :o)
