Stuff.

Could do a few interesting things last week.

- Read or re-read these works by Madhavikkutty aka Kamala Das aka Kamala Suraiya:

• - Balyakala Smaranakal
• - Varshangalkku Munpu
• - Ente Katha
• - Madhavikkuttiyude Sthreekal
• - Ente Cheriya Kathakal

After all this, when I returned to Swamy and Friends, Malgudi appeared so empty. I am sorry you R K Narayan fans, but imaginary Malgudi is no match for real Punnayurkkulam. It is so rich. I like Swamy too. However, could not help comparing.

- Watched Ikiru, accompanied by a very insightful introduction by director Prakash Belawadi. (Thank you, Sir!) maxaud opines that the movie is clichéd. Eh, Kurosawa clichéd? I think he's avenging me for charging that on Black. Ah these fanboys.

- Purchased a few books:

• - The Dancing Wu-Li Masters, which looks promising;
• - Communist Manifesto, after reading which, I shall start the revoloution;
• - The Rubaiyat, which is good to keep under the pillow :-)
