From the oh-so-gandiose department.

The Fourth International GPLv3 Conference will be held in Bangalore, on August 23 and 24; this is organized by The Free Software Foundation, FSF India, IIM, Bangalore, and Free Software Users Group, Bangalore. Speakers include bearded guys like RMS and Prof. Eben Moglen.

Stay tuned, here.

Other sources of noise:Please join the junta if your allegiance is with this side of the fence.

(True, you can't grow beards like those in a month's notice. Do try, however.)

(Darn, so many links. Yes, I linked so you don't have to ask the search engine!)

Yeah, I've been using EmacsWiki now and then. Just discovered nxml-mode for writing HTML. Simple awesome. I've already swapped Ctrl and Caps lock. Should write a post on my transition.

And yeah, we need the blessings. And me a whole lot more to catch up on Emacs.

The thing about Emacs is that it has something for everyone to learn, from the very beginner to Elisp Gurus.

Can't agree more. Though I feel stifled without the niftyness of Vi sometimes, I have begun to realize Emacs is well worth the effort.

Please do. I've been hearing good things of nxml-mode. I've not been doing much XML, but I am curious.
